I’m sure you’ve asked the above question to your friends or they have asked it to you at some point of time. I’m no different. Every time I stepped out to go shopping I used to go through newspapers or call up one of my crazy shopper friends to know about any offers or discounts that may be going on in nearby shops, malls or brand outlets.
Oftentimes, I’d end up at a mall with a ‘Flat 50% Off’ sale only to discover that they don’t have much variety or my size is not available in Any of the patterns (believe me, has happened).
I discussed this issue with a friend and we decided to remedy this with the best tool we have at our disposal – the web. Earlier we thought of just building a small mobile application but decided to create a mobile optimized site instead. That is how OfferBol was born – primarily to help us and our friends to discover/locate/find offers/discounts/deals at nearby stores/malls/brand outlets from anywhere/anytime/any device.
We are not a start up. Its more of a hobby project which we have only recently decided to make into a full fledged application after the good response from everyone we shared the idea with. There haven’t been any talks of ‘revenue sources’ and theres no business plan. We aim to provide a simple solution for a real world problem.
